Nikos Pressas

Nikos Pressas was born in Patras in 1952. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Athens, painting in the workshop of George Mavroidis and stage design with Vassilis Vassiliadis. He completed his postgraduate studies in Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art at the UNIVERSITE PARIS I PANTHEON –SORBONNE in 1987.

He has also studied violin in Patras, Athens and Paris and has published articles in art magazines in Paris. He practiced and studied the art of Hagiography from the age of 14, next to his father, painter and hagiographer, Andrea Pressa.

From 1997 to 2019 he taught Aesthetic Education at the University of Patras, in the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education. He also taught painting at the Art Workshop of the Municipality of Patras, in the period 2014-2017.He has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Greece and France.
